Is Coin Volcano
Buy Bonus Worth It?

30× vs 75× — the exact math on when to buy, when to wait, and what each option actually gives you.

The two options

Coin Volcano offers two purchase tiers. Here's what you actually get for the premium.

Standard
30×
Hold & Win bonus purchase
  • Instant Hold & Win entry
  • Full 3 respins, all symbol types
  • Volcano Multipliers may appear
  • Grand Jackpot possible
  • Multipliers not guaranteed
  • Sticky Coins from base NOT carried over

Important: Buying either bonus does NOT transfer any Sticky Coins you accumulated in the base game. They are cleared. This is a key reason why Buy Bonus at a lower stake to preserve budget can backfire — you're also losing potential sticky buildup.

The honest verdict

When Buy Bonus makes sense, and when it doesn't.

Use Buy Bonus (30×) when:

GoalYou want to experience the bonus mechanic without waiting through base-game dry runs
BudgetYou have at least 5–7 purchases worth of budget (e.g. $150+ at $1/spin)
TimeLimited session, you want more bonus rounds in less time

Use Ultra Bonus (75×) when:

PriorityMaximising average bonus value matters more than number of purchases
BankrollLarge enough to absorb 2–3 purchases at 75× without exhausting budget
LogicGuaranteed Volcano Multipliers meaningfully lift expected return per purchase

Skip Buy Bonus when:

BankrollYou cannot afford 5+ purchases — single-purchase RNG outcomes are very wide
Built stickiesYou've accumulated 2–3 Sticky Coins in base game — organic trigger preserves those
GoalLong sessions — organic triggers at 95.66% RTP are equivalent EV to buying

Why the math is the same long-term

People assume Buy Bonus improves their odds — it doesn't change RTP. The bonus feature's RTP is baked into the overall 95.66% figure. What Buy Bonus does is change the experience: guaranteed bonus entry vs random trigger. You're paying for certainty of access, not better expected value.

The practical difference: with Buy Bonus you get more bonus rounds per unit time but spend a fixed premium for each. Organically, you might spin 45 times before triggering — paying 45× the bet in spins — which is more than the 30× Buy Bonus cost. So in that scenario, Buy Bonus is technically cheaper per bonus round. The uncertainty is variance: sometimes you trigger in 10 spins, sometimes in 100.

What the 75× Ultra actually buys you

Ultra Bonus guarantees at least one Volcano Multiplier activates at the start of the bonus round. The Volcano Multiplier feature shoots 1–9 multiplier values onto random grid positions. A guaranteed activation meaningfully lifts the floor of the bonus payout — you'll almost never walk away with just 8×. The extra 45× cost premium is real, but the average bonus payout from Ultra is noticeably higher.
